Thank you to GESTA members and friends who came out to participate in recent outreach events to the local Greenbelt community over the Labor Day weekend! These events included tabling at the festival under the “NASA Needs Help” effort, and marching in the Labor Day parade under the GESTA banner. Representative Glenn Ivey stopped by the “NASA Needs Help” table at the Greenbelt Labor Day Info Event. GESTA members and contractors were able to speak with him on our concerns. A huge thank you also to the NASA Needs Help volunteers for making this happen.  At this same event we asked the Greenbelt Community what they love about NASA:  “Earth Science for our changing world.” “They inspire my students to dream big and imagine.” “Science in the public interest.” “All the satellites let you see so far - like exploring places we'll never reach.” “Uncovering the secrets of the Universe” GESTA members and family and friends also marched in the Greenbelt Labor Parade (photo below shared with permission):  Comments are closed.
